Captain Bobby Watkins fell in love with the sea during his time in the U.S. Navy. Since then, he’s made a home in Oceanside, raised a family, and run his own pool cleaning business. In 2017, he set sail again and has spent countless hours at sea ever since — so many hours, in fact, that he was able to obtain his U.S. Coast Guard captain’s license.
When he’s not chartering Deja Vu, you can find him racing with friends in local regattas, hanging out at the Oceanside Yacht Club as one of its Board of Directors, or cruising around the harbor with his wife and kids.
Bobby is one of the best sailors and people I know. He’s always cracking jokes, making new friends and sharing his craft with aspiring sailors. He was born to charter.
